There's never a way to escape a presidential election. Not even deep down a Reddit rabbit hole nor a virtual island in Nintendo's Animal Crossing.
Reddit wasn't known for speaking out politically, but the online platform's marketing campaign "Up the Vote" changed that. The campaign hoped to mobilize voters for election day using the platform's iconic upvote/downvote feature. And Nintendo's hit Animal Crossing became a surprise platform for in-game activism; from protests, virtual meeting with constituents, to even presidential lawn signs.
