Did minimalism spark joy? In 2021, it did not. After being stuck inside for over a year and the influence of elaborate, indulgent period-piece content like Bridgerton and WandaVision, people turned to maximalism.

The "aesthetic of excess" became in fashion and the decor industry boomed as a people collected audacious trinkets. While this trend slowly affected every industry, it had a noticeable impact on advertising.

Companies shifted their styles away from "blanding" and became more elaborate and bombastic. This cheeky collage was conceived to represent the reactionary fad from a non-human’s perspective, living amongst clutter.
